A day in the life of the Manager, Global Logistics Procurement Projects at VF looks a little like this.

The Manager, Global Logistics Procurement Projects leads strategic procurement initiatives and cross-functional logistics projects that optimize global transportation, brokerage, and logistics services while reducing total cost, improving service performance, and supporting supply chain resilience. The Manager will partner closely with cross-functional teams across AMER, EMEA, and APAC to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement logistics transformation initiatives across multiple regions.

  • Develop and implement logistics solutions that improve service levels, supply chain efficiency, lead times, fill rates, and total landed cost while supporting inbound material flow and business objectives.
  • Manage strategic relationships with logistics providers, overseeing pricing, contracts, performance, KPI reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and network optimization efforts.
  • Lead global logistics procurement and transformation projects from planning through implementation, managing timelines, budgets, stakeholder communications, milestones, and change management activities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Operations, and regional teams to align logistics strategies with organizational goals and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze transportation spend, market trends, and network performance to identify optimization opportunities, develop business cases, and drive cost savings, value creation, and informed sourcing decisions.
  • Establish and monitor logistics budgets, financial performance, supplier scorecards, and operational metrics to improve decision-making and overall supply chain effectiveness.
  • Drive supply chain resilience through supplier governance, risk management, business continuity planning, contingency strategies, and new supplier implementations.
