Wayfair is seeking a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager to innovate, lead and drive key Global Safety & Security (GLOSS) Administration initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Corporate Safety & Security Operations, this leader will own the end-to-end GSOC function, including oversight of the India-based GSOC, ensuring seamless coordination, intelligence driven decision making, and consistent 24/7 global coverage.
As a key member of the GLOSS team, the Manager will operate in a dynamic, cross functional environment that demands both operational excellence and strategic program management. This role leads critical incident functions including situational monitoring and support to:, threat detection, incident management, travel and executive security, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and high profile event support. The role also manages global administrative initiatives that enhance coordination, communication, and alignment across GLOSS functions. Together, these responsibilities strengthen global safety, readiness, and organizational resilience.
Achieving success in this position requires close collaboration with business leaders, regional teams, and external partners, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with government and public safety agencies, including embassy security officers, regulatory authorities, and local emergency services. The Manager ensures Wayfair remains well-prepared and responsive to evolving risks while advancing global safety and security priorities. This position requires a strong balance of tactical execution and strategic communication. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and collaborative leader who drives consistency, clarity, and operational excellence across global safety and security functions. This role serves as a central hub for global security coordination, enabling real time decision making and enterprise-wide risk visibility.
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership & Team Management
Lead daily GSOC operations, ensuring 24/7 situational awareness, timely threat detection and coordinated incident response across all global regions.
Oversee, coach and develop GSOC Supervisors, Analysts and Operators to drive high performance, technical proficiency and professional growth.
Establish operational objectives, metrics and reporting mechanisms that align with broader Global Security Operations and business goals.
Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enable clear communication, rapid escalation, effective problem solving and consistent operational execution.
Incident Management & Risk Mitigation
Lead cross functional response efforts for critical incidents such as workplace violence, severe weather, business disruptions and critical injury response.
Manage threat escalations in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure timely assessment, coordination and resolution.
Develop and refine global incident response protocols to ensure consistency, transparency and operational efficiency.
Partner with Legal, HR and Facilities teams to assess, manage and mitigate safety and security risks impacting personnel, property and business continuity.
Threat Intelligence & Preparedness
Oversee global threat monitoring and intelligence gathering, including social and threat monitoring, to proactively identify and address emerging risks.
Lead threat assessments and vulnerability assessments to evaluate potential risks and inform mitigation strategies.
Deliver concise, actionable daily intelligence reports that inform leadership decision making and preparedness planning.
Strengthen detection and escalation processes using security technologies, analytics and global coordination.
Travel Security & Event Support
Manage executive and employee travel security programs, including pre travel assessments and mitigation strategies.
Plan and oversee security operations for high visibility corporate events and leadership visits.
Ensure comprehensive risk assessments, contingency planning and real time support during key events and travel initiatives.
GLOSS Program & Administrative Management
Oversee global administrative and operational programs that drive alignment, communication and engagement across Global Security Operations.
Maintain technical proficiency across core GSOC tools, including mass and impact communications platforms and video management system interfaces, to support operational readiness and effective coordination.
Streamline internal processes, documentation and resource management to support efficiency and scalability.
Partner cross functionally to advance global initiatives that promote safety, preparedness and organizational resilience.
Support strategic planning and special projects that strengthen business continuity and Global Security Operations.
What You’ll Need
Demonstrated experience in global safety, security or operations management, with exposure to GSOC leadership or similar 24/7 operational environments.
Strong understanding of global risk management, threat intelligence, incident response and business continuity principles.
Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams, set measurable goals and deliver results through collaboration and accountability.
Experience managing cross functional programs or administrative initiatives that drive alignment, process improvement and communication within a global organization.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence, build trust, drive proactive communication and deliver clear executive written updates to diverse stakeholders across regions and functions.
Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies, including public safety officials, government entities and regulatory authorities.
Experience using security technologies and operational systems such as AI systems, automation tools, intelligence monitoring platforms, mass communication tools and video management systems to enhance threat detection, intelligence analysis, access control systems, reporting and workflow efficiency.
Flexibility to support international operations and travel as needed for program delivery, stakeholder engagement and on the ground support, with travel expected approximately 30% of the time.
Ability to work in office 4 days per week, with some weeks requiring 5 days in office based on business and initiative needs. Work hours will vary based on initiative requirements.
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, such as sitting or standing.
Ability to move about within an office, store or warehouse environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
