Scout Clean Energy is seeking a motivated and collaborative Manager, Government and Regulatory Affairs to help manage regulatory and market risk by protecting and enhancing the value of Scout's operating assets across the SPP and ERCOT footprints. This role will proactively advocate for Scout's interests in stakeholder processes and related proceedings, while also supporting targeted state and local government affairs efforts as needed.
Primary coverage includes active participation in ERCOT and SPP stakeholder processes and related proceedings, with additional engagement across states where Scout operates and develops projects (currently including Texas, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Missouri, and North Dakota; coverage may evolve). Because Scout's portfolio in this region is weighted toward operating projects, the role will focus on issues that affect day-to-day operations and commercial outcomes and will help craft and advocate for rules that are stable, effective, and aligned with renewable resources' technical capabilities.

This individual will join a small team reporting to the Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs, and will coordinate closely with internal and external subject matter experts to advance Scout's market and policy strategy and support execution across the operating and development portfolio.

This position will begin by October 1, 2026. Our ideal candidate is in Boulder or would be willing to relocate to commute to our Boulder office on a hybrid schedule. Remote arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

Target base salary: $110,000-$150,000 with attractive annual bonus potential (based on experience and negotiable for the right candidate).
