Manager, Hotel Lodging Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
Location: Bethesda, MD (Onsite – 5 Days per Week)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Manager, Hotel Lodging Analytics & Business Intelligence to lead enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives supporting a dynamic hotel portfolio. This individual will serve as the organization's subject matter expert for IBM TM1 Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), driving reporting excellence, data integrity, and analytics that enable strategic decision-making across the business.
Partnering closely with Asset Management, Finance, Investments, Design & Construction, and executive leadership, you'll transform complex business data into actionable insights that improve portfolio performance, forecasting, and investment decisions.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary administrator for IBM TM1 Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), including platform administration, security, governance, enhancements, and user support.
- Design and implement scalable reporting solutions, TM1 enhancements, and analytical models based on business requirements.
- Manage ETL processes, data integrations, data warehousing, and reporting data quality.
- Monitor reporting environments and oversee data refresh processes to ensure reliable, accurate reporting.
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, automated reports, scorecards, and business intelligence solutions.
- Prepare recurring reporting for executive leadership, Board presentations, and investor reporting.
- Analyze hotel operating performance, including:
- RevPAR
- ADR
- Occupancy
- Labor productivity
- Profitability
- Capital investment performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, predictive analytics, and portfolio optimization initiatives.
- Deliver ad hoc analyses to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve data governance, and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop documentation and provide training for business users on reporting and analytics platforms.
- Stay current on emerging Business Intelligence, AI, and hospitality analytics technologies.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Financial Systems, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience administering IBM TM1 Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW).
- Advanced SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data warehousing.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting skills.
- Experience developing executive dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting executive leadership, Board reporting, and investor reporting.
- Python or other analytical programming experience.
- Hospitality, hotel, lodging, real estate, or REIT industry experience.
- Experience with predictive analytics and scenario modeling.

- Standard business hours with occasional flexibility during budgeting cycles, earnings periods, and Board reporting deadlines.
