    Description

    Position: Manager – Imaging and Radiology

    Location: Bellevue, WA (100% Onsite)

    Industry: Healthcare

    Compensation: USD $121,900 – $183,000 / year

    Incentives: Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus + Up to $10,000 Relocation Assistance (for eligible external hires)

    Role Summary

    As Manager-Imaging and Radiology you will lead clinical operations and a high-performing team within a modern Level III Medical Office Building. Working on-site alongside a Senior Manager, you will oversee daily operations, resource allocation, and team development for a multidisciplinary department of ~40 employees spanning multiple modalities (including CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, X-ray, Dexa, and Fluoroscopy).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manages Operations:

      • Responsible for FTE and NPE budgets, approving PTO through TORT, and securing shift backfill through Stafferlink.
      • Responsible for entering and approving supply orders in OneLink.
      • Manages the unsigned studies report, PACS exceptions, and unended exams.
      • Conducts monthly staff meetings and cascades regional and departmental messages to employees.
      • Researches and resolves member concerns.
      • Partners with internal customers (Ambulatory, Pediatrics, ACC, Specialties, Pain Clinic, and Orthopedics) to improve operational workflows and resolve issues.

    • Manages Employees:

      • Directly responsible for 60–75% of department employees and conducts total performance reviews.
      • Manages employee performance in partnership and oversees ongoing staff development.
      • Responsible for submitting FMLA and partnering with Integrated Disability Management (IDM) for impacted employees.

    • Manages Equipment:

      • Oversees equipment failures and ensures appropriate documentation is maintained.
      • Messages leadership and the call center promptly when equipment failures impact patient care.

    • Manages Resources & Access:

      • Identifies trends in exam and patient needs by monitoring access reports and volume trends.
      • Drafts and submits business cases and capital cases directly to the Director.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Experience:

      • 5+ years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist, Sonographer, Mammographer, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
      • 3+ years of managerial-level leadership in an imaging setting, including direct authority over hiring, performance reviews, budget management, and operational workflows (candidates with strong supervisory-level leadership in large departments may be considered).
      • Proven experience managing large teams (30+ headcount) across multiple modalities.
      • Demonstrable experience navigating acute care or hospital-based radiology operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.


    • Education: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic imaging program, or a Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of directly related operational experience. High School Diploma/GED required.
    • Licensure & Certification: Active Washington State or national certification (RT, RDMS, or NMTCB).
    • Key Skills: Financial acumen, change management, and strong issue resolution.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Nuclear Medicine experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience leading teams in a unionized labor environment (UFCW).
    • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Six Sigma/process improvement methodologies, and multi-modality registrations.
