The Greater Manchester Region has approximately 2,500 employees. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring Diagnostic Imaging department quality metrics and safety goals are achieved and maintained. Contributes to Quality and Safety goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations. Communicates goals and objectives to unit managers and staff, and monitors progress during the year with demonstrable updated monthly metrics which are then reported to the appropriate areas and individuals. Member of multiple committees across the hospital related to quality and safety, representing Diagnostic Imaging.

Develop and implement corrective action reports regarding events that are deemed reportable to the state. Follow through on audits that follow each reportable event.
Work closely with radiologists as well as Director and Managers of Diagnostic Imaging on events that need second reads and follow ups.
Rounds and audits to ensure that the required Joint Commission, DEEP (DPH) and MQSA are being met by supervising and auditing all areas of Radiology in order to maintain the hospital's accredited status.
Monitors policies and policy renewals, and provides edits as needed. Sits on the Radiology Council Subcommittee to develop new policies in conjunction with other Quality & Safety team members across the system. Work with Radiation Safety Councils, MEC and other committees to guide policies through the proper channels to be vetted.
Chair the monthly Quality and Safety meeting for Radiology. Items include Environment of care, accrediting body surveys, audits, metrics, PPE information, infection control practices or changes, benchmarks, and current initiatives.
Daily review and update for Quantros incident reporting. This includes closing out and assigning events to particular departments. Member of weekly Patient Safety Event Review Team lead by HH Quality and Safety team.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
Experience with EPIC, PACS and digital technology
Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
Strong computer skills for use with email, Word and Excel.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Knowledge of Radiological principal and practices. Sufficient to be able to perform a wide range of duties relative to the work assigned.
Ability to lead and make sound decisions.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Experience working with healthcare associated accrediting bodies
