Manager, Industrial Electrification & Power Infrastructure Engineering

In this leadership role, you’ll shape how complex facilities receive, distribute, and safeguard electrical energy—delivering designs, assessments, and installations that meet rigorous NEC and customer standards while driving schedule, cost, and safety performance.
Starting Annual Pay: $111,000 - $120,000
How you’ll contribute
Lead the Industrial Electrification Engineering function as the technical go-to for power distribution design and execution.
Guide Senior Electrical Engineers and Electrical Superintendents conducting site surveys; translate findings into detailed system layouts and installation plans.
Perform infrastructure evaluations of existing power systems—validate capacity and loads; create/approve one-line drawings.
Act as lead designer and approver for industrial distribution systems; balance material usage, lead times, integration downtime, and constructability.
Apply electrical/building codes and accepted best practices throughout design and construction.
Partner with internal and customer leadership to support estimating, quoting, and project planning.
Build comprehensive schedules and resource plans with operations and program management prior to kickoff.
Produce material lists, coordinate procurement, and vet alternate components for technical compatibility under project constraints.
Direct internal electricians and subcontractors; confirm LOTO procedures are in place before any work commences.
Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support to keep projects moving.
Approve installation quality for Unistrut frames/hangers, cable tray, conduit, panels, disconnects, junction boxes, and motors.
Champion clean, organized worksites—equipment, tools, and areas included.
Collaborate with controls/low-voltage specialists to ensure cohesive system integration.
Conduct arc flash studies and issue compliant labels at project handover.
Fulfill additional site duties as assigned by site management.
Qualifications
Extensive industrial electrical engineering background with hands-on field experience.
Expertise in developing, reading, and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Electrical Suite.
Strong practical electrical aptitude; excellent problem-solving and critical thinking.
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams; proven project management and supervisory skills.
Current, working knowledge of NEC, building codes, and industry best practices.
Comfort with variable schedules, including nights/weekends and extended hours when required.
Education & experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
15+ years of combined experience in electrical engineering, industrial electrical installation/maintenance, or related fields.
Competence operating aerial lifts and other powered equipment.
Travel & mobility
Frequent travel 30%–40% nationwide.
Ownership of a reliable, well-maintained vehicle suitable for interstate travel.
