A Infrastructure Manager is a high-level executive responsible for overseeing an organizations entire IT infrastructure, including the strategy, planning, implementation, maintenance, and operation of all systems, networks, and data centers. They lead teams, manage budgets, and vendors, and ensure that the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning and Development: Define and maintain a forward-looking infrastructure roadmap that supports current technologies and prepares for emerging trends and upgrades. • Team Leadership and Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers and specialists, setting clear goals and objectives and providing ongoing feedback. • Operations and Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of hybrid environments, including on-premises data centers, private and public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Project Management: Lead the planning and execution of complex infrastructure projects, such as cloud migrations or network redesigns, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. • Security and Compliance: Ensure the operational security and resilience of the infrastructure stack, collaborating with security and compliance teams to maintain regulatory alignment (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST standards). • Budget and Vendor Management: Manage infrastructure budgets, forecast expenditures, and oversee the procurement and lifecycle management of hardware, software, assets, and third-party vendor contracts (SLAs). • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Implement enterprise-wide monitoring solutions to proactively detect, diagnose, and resolve performance and capacity issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing costs. • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Design plan and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity technology and processes, conducting regular tests to ensure organizational resilience. • Automation and Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation and the implementation of modern practices, such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps principles.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.

Experience: Typically 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure with several years in a technical leadership or management capacity.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, virtualization) • Identity & Access Management • Windows, Linux servers, storage, databases, and security best practices • Project Management (Deep Knowledge of Scrum Principles, Agile frameworks, Spring Planning and execution) • Proficiency with Agile Management tools like Jira

Soft Skills: • Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Ability to influence senior management and cross-functional teams

Certifications: Preferred certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CCNP, or AWS/Azure Architect certifications.
