Position Overview:

UES is seeking an experienced Manager, Project Management supporting major enterprise business intergrations. This is a key strategic role supporting the company’s continued growth and operational M&A integrations. The new solution will consolidate best practices from the 35+ companies UES has acquired to establish a unified future operating model.

 

The Manager, Project Management will be responsible for delivering these strategic initiatives on time and within budget, with staggered implementation across regions over the next two years. This role will oversee project execution, monitor key indicators, and ensure alignment across stakeholders while maintaining a centralized view of initiatives, priorities, and interdependencies.

40-50% Travel required

Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate and support the execution of integration plans for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transitions.
  • Design training materials, including presentations, user guides, e-learning modules, and other resources, to support effective learning and application of the new systems
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars to employees at various skill levels, ensuring a high-quality training experience
  • Manage resources within matrixed project teams
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects, identifying priorities, dependencies, and conflicts across multiple initiatives
  • Partner with project teams to align systems, workflows, and processes with integration objectives.
  • Lead process improvement efforts at the department or project level, mapping workflows, analyzing gaps, and implementing changes.
  • Track and report on integration milestones and operational KPIs; escalate risks and roadblocks to leadership.
  • Assist in creating integration toolkits, SOPs, templates, and training materials.
  • Support change management communications and training to drive adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders (e.g., HR, IT, Finance, Operations) to ensure consistent and effective execution.
  • Mentor and guide cross-functional project teams on best practices for process improvement.
  • Identify small- to medium-scale improvement opportunities that contribute to operational excellence goals.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement through stakeholder engagement, assessments, and knowledge sharing

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, project management, business process improvement, or integration support.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma); certification preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Proficiency with process mapping and project management tools is a plus

     

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1–2 years of experience leading small teams or project workstreams.
  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering,Business, or related field
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
  • Experience supporting post-merger integration (PMI), process standardization, or operational change initiatives.
Travel Requirements:

This position requires extensive travel, approximately up to 50% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.

  • This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
  • The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
  • The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
