Facilities Services Manager
Location: Irving, TX
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $54/hr
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Central or Eastern Time Zone)
ROLE IMPACT: This role provides hands-on sourcing and procurement leadership across Facility Services categories during a temporary team backfill. The Category Manager drives strategic sourcing initiatives, manages supplier transitions, and negotiates enterprise agreements that support operational continuity. Success is defined by delivering cost-effective contracts, minimizing service disruption, and partnering effectively with senior stakeholders across business units.
Key Duties
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives across Facilities Maintenance, Furniture/Fixtures, Pest Control, Electrical Services, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) & Refrigeration, Fire Protection, Elevator Maintenance, Surveillance/Alarm Systems, Signage, Generator Maintenance, Grounds, Audio Visual, and related services
• Develop bid analyses, comparative evaluations, and sourcing recommendations to inform executive decision-making
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contract terms in collaboration with Legal, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders
• Manage supplier onboarding, transitions, and performance to ensure minimal operational disruption
• Partner with Real Estate and Facilities teams to execute strategic category plans and CapEx (Capital Expenditure) initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management within indirect categories
• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Equipment & Work Environment
• Remote work environment (95% or more) with standard home office setup
• Proficiency with sourcing and procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, and ServiceNow
• Collaboration across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, enterprise setting
• Occasional travel for supplier engagement or team meetings as needed
Preferred Skills
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills
• Project management experience with medium to high complexity initiatives
• Financial acumen, including cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis
