Manager, IT (Enterprise Imaging, Radiology IT

Work Location: Primarily remote, with occasional onsite travel required for go-lives, support, testing, and other business needs.

Work Hours: The core hours for this position are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, with participation in a Manager on Duty (MOD call rotation required.

Purpose:

Enterprise Imaging is seeking a proven leader who can successfully manage high-profile, enterprise-wide initiatives while leading a team of senior-level analysts. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic projects across the Enterprise Imaging portfolio, including imaging platform modernization, workflow transformation, system integrations, application implementations, and other critical organizational initiatives.

The successful candidate must be highly collaborative and able to work effectively across organizational boundaries. Success in this role will require building strong partnerships with peer managers, clinical leaders, technical teams, operational stakeholders, and vendors. The ideal candidate recognizes that enterprise initiatives are achieved through shared ownership, collaboration, and influence rather than through direct authority alone.

Responsibilities:

• Leads complex, enterprise-wide projects and strategic initiatives across the Enterprise Imaging portfolio.
• Manage and mentor a team of senior analysts and project resources.
• Build strong partnerships with peer managers and stakeholders to drive shared organizational objectives and successful project outcomes.
• Provide project governance, risk management, and Executive-level reporting.
• Drive successful implementation, adoption, and operational support of Enterprise Imaging solutions.
• Participate in an MOD call rotation.
• Provides project governance, executive reporting, risk management, and change leadership for high-visibility initiatives.
• Provides input on budget planning. Responsible for managing the budget.
• Completes performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Nine years of total related experience, with at least two years' experience in a leadership role OR equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Strong project management, problem solving, organizational, relationship, communication, and negotiation skills (oral and written are required.
• Strong understanding of IT strategy and how it relates to business objectives. Ability to apply extensive experience to highly complex problems.

• Current or past UPMC employees and contractors.
