Position: Manager, Labor Relations
Location: Universal City, CA 91608
Duration: 6 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday - Friday From 9:00 AM To 6:00 PM
Job Description:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant labor relations experience
- Proficiency with web-based databases and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
Required Experience:
- Grievance management from intake through resolution.
- Experience working directly with unions.
- Conducting Step 1 and Step 2 grievance meetings.
- Labor contract administration.
- Knowledge of union grievance procedures and processes.
- Preferred: Arbitration experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex employee relations matters.

- Ability to manage high-volume and time-sensitive workload
- Ability to handle extremely sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and working with union contracts
- Ability to work independently with legal, business, and HR teams
Responsibilities:
- Advise internal clients, including management and human resources, regarding union contract compliance for bargaining units and/or assigned topics
- Advise internal clients regarding discipline of union employees, including just cause standards, as applicable, investigations, and rights to union representation
- Responsible for handling union grievances through arbitration phase as assigned
- Serves as the initial point of contact for union inquiries and concerns; triage issues, conduct research, provide responses, facilitate labor-management meetings
- Support and execute union contract administration
- Support collective bargaining, including preparation, research, contract implementation, and drafting as assigned
- Provide training to HR and managers on assigned topics
- Provide additional support to Labor & Employment department as needed
