ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a Manager, Learning and Development for a luxury resort in Big Sky, Montana. This is a senior culture-shaping role responsible for driving service excellence, continuous learning, and colleague development across the property. The successful candidate will design and lead learning strategies that build team capability, support leadership effectiveness, and strengthen engagement in alignment with the resort's business objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead all Learning and Development activities, including annual training plans, training needs analysis, budget management, and effectiveness measurement
Act as a strategic partner to the HR Director, General Manager, and department heads on talent, engagement, and organizational effectiveness
Identify capability gaps across departments and develop targeted programmes that strengthen performance and support succession planning
Facilitate leadership development programmes, team-building initiatives, and organizational effectiveness workshops
Build and develop internal trainers to enhance training delivery across departments
Champion service excellence and brand standards through regular operational audits and coaching
Develop and implement recognition programmes that encourage engagement and continuous improvement
Manage the L&D budget and measure return on investment across all programmes
Maintain a comprehensive training library of learning resources and digital development tools
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum 4 years of experience in Learning and Development or Organizational Development, ideally within luxury hospitality
Previous management experience within a luxury hotel or resort environment
Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and evaluate leadership development and training programmes
Experience analyzing performance metrics, guest satisfaction data, and engagement results to drive outcomes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems
Strong collaborative communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced resort environment
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
