The Resonetics Manufacturing & NPI Manager - Organizes resources and initiatives to implement tactics; directly manages efforts of others

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for outcome of work performed by engineering direct reports within respective department may manage lower-level supervisors.   
  • Develops and communicates engineering priorities to meet department objectives.  
  • Establishes department’s processes and procedures, with majority of time focused on management responsibilities.   
  • Mentors others within respective department outside of immediate team.  
  • Understands how team / work area relates to other areas; uses knowledge to improve efficiency and produce high-quality work with impact on respective business unit segment.    
  • Identifies and resolves technical, operational, and/or organizational problems.  
  • Understands team and department’s contribution to business objectives   
  • Proactively addresses challenges and fosters change to engage team and drive success in respective department activities.  
  • Broadens technical means to solve for issues in area of expertise, focusing on innovative approaches to cross-disciplinary and department processes.  
  • Influences a prompt and constructive response of multiple teams and department when change is encountered or necessary.  
  • Interacts with senior level department managers.  
  • Builds collaborative networks that span across multiple areas and departments may begin to include internal global networks.
  • Begins to adapt style and message based on global awareness.   
  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.  
  • Decisions have medium to high impact on area and business unit’s short-term results, begins to impact long term objectives; informs and influences decision-making at the management level.  
  • Inability to achieve results will add to costs and may impact the short-term goals of the product development or department overall.   
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for solving problems and obtaining results for development and process improvement plans.  
Required Qualifications:
  • Possesses specialized and broad knowledge of interdependent activities impacting multiple areas and/or department. 
  • Highly skilled specialist in engineering discipline; identifies complex of technical concepts and techniques for the respective area of engineering discipline. 
  • Developing knowledge of engineering tools, processes, methodologies, and concepts, including lean and six sigma concepts and tools. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational, collaboration and presentation skills 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with QSR or ISO 13485. 
  • Prior experience or exposure to Lean/CI Principles, Systems and common tools.  Including: Line Balancing, Equipment Capacity modeling, 5S, 8 forms of waste, Value Stream Maps, Kaizen, WIP optimization, manufacturing cell-line-facility layout design & optimization, and data analysis highly desirable. 
  • Prior experience or exposure to the Medical Device Industry and/or contract manufacturing highly desirable. 
  • Prior knowledge, experience or exposure to Process Development & Validation highly desirable 
Compensation:
  • The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $96,000-$155,000.
  • Our company policy is that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
