The
Manager, Marketing Automation Optimization & Experimentation is responsible for building and operationalizing a rigorous culture of experimentation across the Marketing Automation team. This role owns the strategy, roadmap, measurement approach, and learning agenda for continuously improving email and other automated customer experiences across targeting, audience selection, creative, offers, personalization, timing, frequency, triggers, journeys, and decisioning.
The role translates business questions into testable hypotheses, designs credible experiments, and ensures results lead to clear decisions and scalable improvements. Email is the immediate primary focus, with successful methodologies extended to SMS and other channels over time. The Manager partners closely with Marketing Automation Operations, Analytics, Data, Creative, Brand Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to connect experimentation with customer engagement, conversion, retention, incremental revenue, and long-term customer value.

Manager, Marketing Automation Optimization & Experimentation on the Marketing team, a typical day for you will include:
- Help develop and execute the Marketing Automation strategy and optimization roadmap across Neighborly brands.
- Audit existing customer journeys, campaigns, and automations to identify optimization opportunities and implement a structured testing program to continuously improve performance through A/B, multivariate, and holdout testing.
- Develop and manage a structured testing roadmap, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, holdout testing, and iterative optimization initiatives.
- Analyze campaign performance, customer behavior, and engagement trends to identify actionable recommendations that improve business outcomes.
- Create detailed campaign briefs for the Operations team, outlining business objectives, target audiences, messaging strategy, personalization requirements, testing plans, and success metrics.
Bring your skills and be inspired to achieve success. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics, or a related field;
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing Automation, CRM/Lifecycle Marketing, Campaign Strategy, Digital Marketing, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving customer engagement and business performance.
- Experience developing and executing marketing automation strategies, customer lifecycle programs, and journey optimization initiatives across email, SMS, and other digital channels.
- Experience auditing and optimizing customer journeys, campaign workflows, and automated programs to improve engagement, conversion, retention, and customer value.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing testing and experimentation programs, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, holdout testing, and iterative optimization methodologies.
- Experience defining measurement plans, KPIs, test readouts, and actionable recommendations in partnership with analytics or data teams.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience operating experimentation programs across multiple brands, business units, customer segments, or markets.
- Experience with enterprise marketing automation or customer engagement platforms and associated analytics and reporting tools.
- Experience evaluating incrementality and downstream business impact beyond channel engagement metrics.
- Experience building shared testing standards, experimentation repositories, playbooks, or centers of excellence.
