Manager, Marketplace

Overview:

The Marketplace Manager is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and marketplace execution across Amazon and emerging marketplace channels. This role owns marketplace performance, including advertising, content optimization, promotions, inventory health, and new product launches.

The ideal candidate combines deep Amazon expertise with strong analytical capabilities and a proven track record of optimizing advertising investments to drive both revenue growth and profitability. This individual will manage day-to-day agency relationships, collaborate cross-functionally across the organization, and leverage AI and automation tools to improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day performance of Amazon and other marketplace channels, with accountability for sales growth, profitability, and marketplace KPIs.
• Manage and optimize advertising investments across Amazon Ads and other marketplace advertising platforms to maximize revenue, ROAS, TACoS, contribution margin, and overall business performance.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day partner for marketplace agencies, ensuring alignment to growth, profitability, and performance objectives.
• Drive traffic, conversion, and market share through content optimization, promotions, assortment expansion, and product launches.
• Analyze marketplace performance, develop forecasts and business reviews, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Support the evaluation, launch, and scaling of new marketplace and social commerce channels as strategic growth opportunities.
• Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and merchandising teams to ensure inventory health, catalog quality, and marketplace compliance.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation solutions to improve advertising, content, reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Support additional marketplace, social commerce, and same-day delivery channels as needed, including new platform launches and growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

• 5+ years of Amazon marketplace management experience.
• Deep knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Advertising.
• Experience managing marketplace advertising with demonstrated success driving both growth and profitability.
• Experience serving as the primary day-to-day contact for marketplace agencies and holding partners accountable to business objectives.
• Experience with marketplace and retail media tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Pacvue, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI-driven tools and automation to improve advertising performance, content creation, reporting, forecasting, or operational efficiency.
• CPG experience highly preferred.
• Experience launching and scaling new marketplace or social commerce channels preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate investments, identify growth opportunities, and quantify profitability impacts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, or business intelligence skills.
• Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Compensation: The salary for this position is based on many factors such as role requirements, skill set, years of experience and other organizational needs. The estimated range is $90,000 - $100,000 per year.
