    Job Description

    The Manager, Member Marketing will be accountable for acquisition and retention consumer strategy across existing PA and NJ markets as well as the go-to-market strategy when entering new markets. This individual will manage all pipeline planning and resource allocation to ensure timely and relevant targeting to attain new members using high-performing, validated strategies as well as explore, measure, and validate new strategies. This individual will also be accountable for the creation and deployment of onboarding materials that welcome new members and educate them on plan benefits, coverage, and digital tools. Additionally, they will oversee the design, governance, and continuous optimization of clinical messages to improve adherence, preventive care completion, and chronic condition management. The individual who fills this role must demonstrate expertise in and comfortability with direct marketing strategies, an understanding of technology, ability to work with and interpret data, align resources to high yield strategies, demonstrate influence with stakeholders, and ability to implement processes for scalability.

    Expectations in the role include:

    • Manage a team comprised of full-time company associates as well as multiple vendor relationships.
    • Manage performance for paid media, paid search, paid social, remarketing, display, direct mail creative and fulfillment, and any additional channels as agreed upon with management.
    • Responsible for developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that enhance member engagement, improve health outcomes, and drive digital adoption
    • Manage data management efforts related to acquisition and retention models as well as renewal workflows.
    • Research, identify, and implement effective go-to-market strategy and execution.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives.
    • Continuously monitor campaign performance and lead optimization discussions.
    • Develop and maintain campaign ROI analysis and reporting for leadership.
    • Manage cross-functional workgroup to establish scheduling, training, budgeting, and project management.
    • Monitor end-to-end process for areas of improvement and increased efficiencies.
    • Provide direction and SME expertise on all facets of the consumer segment.
    • Manage and create operating procedures and policy documents related to renewals, strategy, and fulfillment.
    • Manage budgets and timelines for all marketing initiatives across all markets.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Management/Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 8 years of related experience, preferably in health care marketing
    • Strong data and analytics skills, including the ability to work within databases
    • Team player
    • Direct marketing experience preferred.
    • Ability to manage direct reports as well as exert influence on non-direct report peers
    • Ability to manage projects and maintain target objectives. Projects generally are high profile with considerable member impact.
    • Ability to effectively chair meetings and interface with senior management.
    • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented, as well as above average problem resolution skills, required.
    • Capable of managing a diverse and complex suite of projects simultaneously.
    • Direct and/or indirect team leadership experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct people management and/or indirect team leadership, preferred

    Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
