About the Team

New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant delivery. Our Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics team has three major mandates to effectively onboard merchants, fulfill every order with speed & accuracy and improve our logistics network. We are able to do this by identifying efficiencies, building product toolings and launching operational processes at scale. You will own metrics, pull operational & product levers and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol and Retail businesses.

About the Role

We're looking for a Manager to lead a team of three and serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for New Vertical HQFR (High Quality Fulfillment Rate). This role sits within our Logistics pod and is accountable for driving step-change improvements in order quality and fulfillment performance-ensuring consumers receive their orders with all original items, every time.

You will directly own cancellations and HQFR performance, including reporting, root-cause analysis, and action planning. Beyond managing the metrics, you will hold cross-functional teams accountable for delivering measurable impact-partnering closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, as well as Merchant and Consumers teams to drive performance improvements across the ecosystem.

This role combines operational rigor with strategic thinking. You will:

• Lead end-to-end HQFR and cancellations performance, including company-wide OKR reporting • Identify and execute operational improvements that materially move quality and fulfillment outcomes • Build and incubate the next "big bets" to improve order accuracy and reduce avoidable cancellations • Drive cross-functional alignment and accountability against clear targets

We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly from insight to action, and brings strong ownership mentality. You should be comfortable going deep in the data, setting a clear vision for performance, and mobilizing teams to deliver results. This is a highly visible role with outsized impact on customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

• Analyze. You love working with data to drive business decision-making and are familiar with SQL. • Lead: You'll spearhead cross-functional projects, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to develop and implement tech solutions that increase selection across our New Vertical offerings. • Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key selection metrics. You'll create and execute quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with product capabilities to elevate order quality. • Build: You will build strategic initiatives and drive innovation across our offerings; this can vary from AI-powered selection predictions to improving the Cx shopping experience. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details.

We're excited about you because…

You are an operator. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're also able to think long-term. You are excited to experience our operation firsthand to inform your strategy.

You solve problems from first principles. You're excited to think innovatively, and you resist "this is how it's always been done" thinking.

You're analytical. You possess a sharp analytical mind, and can extract and communicate meaningful insights from data to drive strategic decisions. You are comfortable with SQL and data visualization tools.

You have 4-6+ years of experience. You've succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups or a related experience).

You are a leader. You have at least 2+ years of direct management experience.

You have a completed Bachelor's Degree.
