POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology Operations, the Manager of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging provides technical, operational and administrative leadership to the Division of Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Molecular Imaging and Theranostics, through interactions with support and technical staff, Radiologists, external departments and others as necessary. Primary duty is to manage all aspects of the day-to-day molecular imaging operations for the BMC campus. Develops and implements policies and procedures in conjunction with the System Senior Director of Radiology, the Director of Operations, the Section Chief of Molecular Imaging and Department of Radiation and Medical Physics. The Manager of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging is responsible for approximately 15 FTE's and operating budgets of approximately $ 5.5 million.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

More than 5 years of experience, knowledge and understanding of business hospital-based or academic medical center setting, with a focus on Radiology, Imaging Services, and/or Ambulatory Operations
Operational and financial management - including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics for physician practices.
Excellent analytical skills, including ability to review quantitative and qualitative data and reach sound, strategic conclusions
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and embrace new challenges
Strategic planning and business development - such as evaluating new services and developing partnerships.
Human resources management, including staffing models, including performance improvement
Regulatory compliance (e.g., Joint Commission, DPH, CMS, NRC) and quality and risk management integration.
Familiarity with Epic Radiant, Epic Cupid, PACS/RIS, and financial data reporting tools preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED (If none, please enter "N/A"):
Current Massachusetts State license as a Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification and all applicable Radiology education requirements. Current NMTCB certification in Cardiac and/or, PET, CT and/or ARRT (CT) preferred.
BLS/CPR Certification required.
NIH Human Subjects Protection in Research Certification (may be obtained after 90 days).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs) (If none, please enter "N/A"):
Knowledge of principles and procedures of Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Diagnostic CT, Theranostics, and Radiopharmacy and the operation and maintenance of equipment generally acquired through the completion of training either in an ARRT or CNMT approved formal educational program. Equipment includes but not limited to: gamma cameras with sealed sources of radioactive material for transmission imaging with single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), SPECT/CT, positron emission tomography (PET/CT), and diagnostic CT.
Knowledge and principles of the following non-imaging instrumentation: dose calibrators, survey instrumentation for exposure and contamination, probe and well instrumentation, and other applicable patient care equipment as authorized by institutional policies.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology and medical terminology with the analytical skills to effectively utilize knowledge towards imaging processes, techniques and procedures.
Proficiency with standard Microsoft programs (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and web browsers. Working knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) (Epic preferred).
Ability to rely on experience, judgment and time management skills to plan and accomplish goals.
Must present a positive, team-oriented attitude and a professional appearance.
Ability to adhere to safety standards set forth by the Radiology Department, BMC and other regulatory agencies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and all/any apprehensions, to instruct students and to interact with other staff technologists.
Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team and staff, ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; to set priorities and solve problems; to respond quickly to emergency requests.
Compensation Range:
$89,500.00- $130,000.00
