Position: Manager of Business Excellence

Location: Tonawanda, NY

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000/annually, based on experience

What We Are Looking For

The Manager of Business Excellence is responsible for improving how work gets done across NOCO. This role partners with leaders throughout the organization to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, leverage data, strengthen operational effectiveness, and implement technology that enhances both the employee and customer experience.

The Manager of Business Excellence leads cross-functional initiatives that improve business performance, optimize processes, and support data-driven decision-making. This role evaluates emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, identifies opportunities to reduce risk and improve operational effectiveness, and helps departments successfully adopt new ways of working that support NOCO''s strategic priorities. Serving as an internal business partner, this individual works collaboratively with leaders to solve business challenges, execute strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
  • Lead cross-functional business improvement initiatives that align with NOCO''s strategic priorities.
  • Analyze operational, financial, and business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and process improvements that support executive decision-making.
  • Evaluate business processes, workflows, and internal controls to identify inefficiencies, reduce risk, and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Document current and future state processes, develop standard operating procedures, and recommend best practices.
  • Develop meaningful dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide visibility into key business objectives.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, business trends, and project outcomes.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to identify opportunities to improve productivity, automate workflows, and enhance the customer and employee experience.
  • Lead AI and technology pilot initiatives from evaluation through implementation while promoting responsible and effective adoption.
  • Recommend enhancements to business processes, systems, policies, and internal controls based on data analysis, operational observations, and root cause analysis.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop action plans and monitor progress to ensure improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, workshops, and process redesign sessions to drive collaboration and organizational effectiveness.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives requiring business analysis, operational assessment, process redesign, or organizational change.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve how NOCO operates.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Operations, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in business operations, process improvement, business analysis, project management, consulting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence change across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience evaluating business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational, financial, and customer impacts.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate recommendations to leaders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, or performance metrics to support business decisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, business automation, or emerging technologies preferred.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
