Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a United States-based Manager, Solutions Architects to lead a high-performing team of technical pre-sales professionals focused on Data Infrastructure Insights (DII) and NetApp Data Services. This team supports Enterprise and Strategic accounts by helping customers uncover high-value use cases, assess current-state infrastructure challenges, shape solution strategies, and accelerate adoption of NetApp's intelligent Data Infrastructure portfolio.

In this role, you will guide the team in delivering trusted technical leadership, outcome-based solution architecture, effective technical validations, and customer-ready recommendations that help strategic customers improve visibility, optimize operations, strengthen resilience, and realize measurable business value from DII and NetApp Data Services.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and customer-facing technical strategist who can translate complex infrastructure, observability, capacity, cost, cyber resilience, and data services requirements into clear execution plans. Success in this role requires the ability to coach technical talent, engage senior customer stakeholders, partner effectively across NetApp, and drive disciplined execution across strategic account motions.

Our team works closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Professional Services, and partner teams to connect customer priorities with practical technical strategies. Together, we help customers gain full-stack visibility, reduce operational complexity, improve capacity planning, strengthen resilience, and convert infrastructure intelligence into meaningful business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Technical fluency across hybrid data infrastructure, storage operations, observability, virtualization, capacity planning, cyber resilience, automation, and SaaS-based data services.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements, field collaboration, and strategic account priorities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong English language skills (other languages are a plus).
• Experience with hybrid work environments, enterprise storage platforms, and virtualized infrastructure, including storage ecosystems such as NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Dell EMC, and VAST Data, as well as hypervisor platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, Nutanix Acropolis/AHV, and related workload modernization or data mobility methodologies.
• Working knowledge of core data protection and resilience concepts, including backup and recovery, disaster recovery, ransomware resilience, SAN/NAS storage principles, and how these capabilities support enterprise availability, recoverability, and business continuity objectives.

Requirements & Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 12+ years overall experience which includes 5 years of leadership experience.
• 8-10 years of relevant technical, field, pre-sales, architecture, or customer-facing infrastructure experience.
• Prior people-management, technical leadership, or team leadership experience preferred.
• Relevant certifications or enablement in enterprise architecture, cloud, storage, security, observability, data services, SaaS operations, or NetApp technologies are a plus.

Regular Activities:

• Lead team operating rhythms, priorities, opportunity hygiene, forecasting discipline, technical enablement, and skills development.
• Partner closely with Sales Specialists, account teams, and Customer Success to identify, qualify, advance, and expand strategic customer opportunities.
• Align with NetApp account leadership, partner resources, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success to drive DII and NetApp Data Services adoption, expansion, and measurable customer outcomes.
• Provide field-based insight and product feedback to help shape roadmap priorities, customer messaging, enablement, and solution strategy.
• Maintain a broad view of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry trends through continuous learning and a growth mindset.
• Self-study/learning time:
• Stay current on DII capabilities, NetApp Data Services, hybrid data infrastructure, observability, automation, cyber resilience, and enterprise account outcome motions.
• Develop and refine repeatable processes, tools, and field practices that improve execution quality across Sales and Technical teams.

The target salary range for this position is 287,300 - 371,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate''s location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on ''On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
