    Position Overview

    Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Manager of ED & Observation (OBS) Case Management to join Memorial Hermann Health System at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing case management operations within the Emergency Department and Observation units, ensuring efficient patient throughput, effective care coordination, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient outcomes.

    The Manager will collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, social workers, utilization review staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to support timely discharge planning, resource utilization, and transitions of care. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $108,000 to $130,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to lead a critical service area within one of the nation's premier healthcare systems.

    Required Qualifications

    • Current and valid Texas Registered Nurse (RN) licenseorLicensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential.
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred for social work candidates.
    • Case Management Certification (CCM, ACM, or equivalent) required.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in:
      • Case Management
      • Utilization Management
      • Discharge Planning
      • Care Coordination
    • Minimum of three (3) years of hospital-based nursing or social work experience.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated leadership or management experience.
    • Strong knowledge of utilization review, patient throughput, care transitions, and regulatory requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Emergency Department (ED) and Observation Unit case management experience.
    • Experience managing multidisciplinary case management teams.
    • Knowledge of value-based care, population health initiatives, and quality improvement methodologies.
    • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
