Manager of Financial Systems Accounting Department Summary The Manager of Financial Systems oversees the technology platforms supporting the firms Accounting and Finance operations including General Ledger Accounts Payable Billing Collections Timekeeping and Expense Reimbursement. This role ensures system reliability data integrity and timely reporting while leading process improvements and supporting end users across the firm. The manager supervises a small team of systems analysts. Apply Qualifications Bachelors degree in Finance Information Systems Accounting Computer Science or related field. 5 years of experience supporting financial systems preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of relational databases report development tools and financial application management. Proficient in SQL SSRS VBA XML and advanced Excel. Excellent analytical communication and problem -solving skills. High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information. Preferred Skills • Experience maintaining legal financial applications 3E Intapp Suite. • Background leading automation or process improvement initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities System Management & Upgrades • Lead system implementations and upgrades for financial applications e.g. 3E Chrome River Intapp Time. • Evaluate new solutions participate in vendor selection and guide system configuration and testing. • Manage project plans functional testing and coordination with IT and Finance stakeholders. Operational Support • Oversee month -end close processes including reconciliation of WIP AR and GL data. • Troubleshoot issues coordinate with vendors and escalate incidents when needed. • Manage change requests testing data validation and user communication. Data Integrity & Security • Maintain data quality across financial systems ensuring accurate calculations workflows and business rules. • Manage application security roles access permissions and system controls in partnership with IT. • Perform routine quality assurance and data integrity checks. Reporting & Analytics • Create custom SQL queries and reporting solutions using tools such as SSRS. • Produce ad hoc reports data extracts and tailored analyses to support Accounting operations and departments across the firm. Duties and Responsibilities • Manage reporting needs and collaborate with technical teams on data architecture. • Process Improvement & Automation • Review workflows to identify efficiency opportunities.
