About the Role:
Asendio is looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager of Human Resources and Compliance to join our growing team in Pontiac, MI. In this pivotal role, you'll lead HR strategy and ensure organizational compliance, helping shape a workplace culture where people and processes thrive. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee full-cycle HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals
  • Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
  • Lead compliance audits, reporting, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Administer benefits programs, compensation structures, and HRIS platforms
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning initiatives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1–2 years in a management or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, and other federal/state compliance requirements
  • Experience managing HR compliance programs and conducting internal audits
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
