Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manager for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry departments. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of patient care while managing a high-volume environment.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate strong computer and documentation skills.
- Apply proper English grammar and punctuation in professional communications.
- Perform calculations including proportions, percentages, BSA, circumference, and volume.
- Analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and make informed decisions.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
- Supervisory experience or previous role as a charge nurse preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current California RN license required.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Basic EKG/telemetry interpretation experience required, or completion of a Basic EKG course within 6 months of employment.
