Additional Information:

The Manager of Pharmacy Quality, Safety & Compliance provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for pharmacy regulatory compliance, medication safety programs, and quality assurance infrastructure. This role serves as the primary authority for Federal and State regualtory compliance, Board of Pharmacy readiness, qualtiy and process improvement intitatives, and policy governance across Pharmacy Services. The Manager establishes and maintains a continuous readiness framework to improve patient quality outcomes, reduce regulatory risk, strengthen medication safety practices, and ensure alignment with state, federal, and accreditation standards. This position partners closely with Pharmacy Leadership, Quality and Safety office, Infection Prevention, Compliance, Risk Management, Facilities, and Nursing to advance a culture of safety, accountability, and regulatory excellence.

Required Education:

Doctorate of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy (if obtained prior to 2000)

Master''s degree in a related field of study.

Description

  1. Establishes and maintains a comprehensive quality assurance and audit framework for all of pharmacy operations.

  2. Leads preparation and coordination for regulatory inspections (Board of Pharmacy, accreditation bodies, and other agencies).

  3. Develops and governs pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure regulatory alignment and operational consistency.

  4. Monitors medication safety events, diversion trends, and quality indicators, ensuring appropriate investigation and follow-up.

  5. Chairs pharmacy quality and safety committees and ensures leadership visibility of risk trends.

  6. Provides education and guidance to pharmacy staff on compliance expectations and best practices.

  7. Develops dashboards and reporting tools to provide executive-level visibility into pharmacy quality and compliance performance.
