Manager of Youth Prevention 

CompDrug has an immediate opportunity for a Manager of Youth Prevention to lead and support the growth of youth prevention programming.  The successful candidate will oversee program planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement while directly managing and developing youth prevention staff.   

The Manager of Youth Prevention will create and implement actionable work plans, ensuring fiscal responsibility, monitoring data and outcomes, and elevating the visibility and impact of youth prevention programs. Work schedule to include availability for evenings and weekends/overnights. 

Requirements 
  • Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist credential required; Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant credential or demonstrated progress towards OCPC preferred.
  • Two to three years' experience with youth-led prevention programs.
  • Associates degree required; bachelor's degree in strongly preferred.   
  • Proven organizational, leadership, problem solving, and public speaking skills necessary.  
  • Experience training or instructing groups, teams?  Experience delivering group training or group facilitation. 
  • Experience managing staff and programming is required.  
  • Must be proficient in using computers and other office equipment, experience with Microsoft Office Suite.   
  • Experience in event planning and coordination is preferred.   
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record plus proof of insurance, records checked and updated annually.   
  • Must have excellent human relations skills and the ability to handle different personalities and situations; must develop and maintain a positive working relationship with staff and participants. 
 
Essential Functions 
  • Coordinates marketing materials to ensure that the marketing needs of youth prevention department are met and the content remains relevant.   
  • Develop staff capacity in program delivery, facilitation, data collection, and community engagement through mentorship, training opportunities, and leadership development. 
  • Mandated reporter – ensures that appropriate documentation is submitted.    
  • Maintains own and tracks for the staff required professional licensure/credentials and assists with the credentialing process, if requested.  This includes standards and requirements set forth by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).  
  • Works with Director of Prevention to identify trends and make programming or staffing adjustments as needed. 
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of youth prevention programs aligned with evidence-based frameworks. 
  • Translate organizational and funder priorities into clear, actionable annual and multi-year work plans with measurable goals, timelines, and deliverables. 
  • Identify emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities in youth prevention and adapt strategies accordingly. 
  • Directly supervise youth prevention staff, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluation, and professional development. 
  • Develop, manage, and monitor work plans to ensure timely completion of deliverables. 
  • Manage program budgets and monitor expenditures in collaboration with the Director of Prevention and finance staff. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to funders, partners, and internal leadership. 
  • Support the development of program narratives, success stories, and data-informed messaging. 
  • Represent the organization in meetings, coalitions, conferences, and public forums as appropriate. 
  • Lead the coordination of small- and large-scale events (such as conferences or youth-led activities), including assigning roles and responsibilities to support successful event delivery. 
  • Work closely with the Director of Prevention to align program activities with organizational strategy. 
  • Participates in company compliance and credentialing processes as required.
