    Office Operations Manager Primary Responsibilities:

    • Create and equitably administer standard operating procedures for employee-related issues.
    • Manage invoicing, supply ordering, equipment transfer, licensing registration, accounts payable and petty cash.
    • Receive and respond to general Human Resources (HR) questions from managers, supervisors and team members.
    • Develop core competency in HR tools, support team member and manager understanding thereof and ensure consistency of HR policy execution.
    • Develop recommendations to the president in order to improve HR processes.
    • Liaise with corporate recruiters and other outside sources to staff full-time positions.
    • Interview, hire and evaluate performance of the clerical staff.
    • Help production managers and supervisors train team members.
    • Oversee team members' concerns including personnel files, time cards, uniforms, onboarding, Payroll Log accuracy and hearing tests.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state (provincial) regulations regarding wage and hour laws as well as maintaining OSHA records.
    • Manage internal and external correspondence concerning the plant, including legal matters.

    Office Operations Manager Minimum Qualifications:

    • Regular attendance is essential.
    • Able to pass drug screen and background check
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • Skill with basic office equipment (printer/fax/scanning)
    • Excellent time-management skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • HR/employee-relations experience
    • Fluency in OSHA regulations

    Work Environment:

    The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

    About Company

    Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
