Manager on Duty, Part Time
Under the supervision of the General Manager, assists with the management of the entire scope of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Supervising rink employees
- Assists in scheduling staff with attention to payroll budget
- Management of day-to-day operations that include, but are not limited to: programs, events, and physical facilities
- Ability to perform all job duties at facility if necessary
- Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately
- Maintains a clean and safe facility
- Communicates professionally verbally and in writing
- Promptly responds to emails and phone calls
- Ensures and promotes excellent customer service
- Immediate and complete reporting of all liability issues
- Working knowledge of POS system
- Responsible for all cash handling including reconciling petty cash daily, and daily bank deposits
- Responsible for leading training sessions and meetings for staff under the direction of the General Manager
- Generates reports under the direction of the General Manager
- Maintains confidentiality
- Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS
Work is performed in several settings:
- An office environment
- A recreational facility
- Working indoors and outdoors
- Some off-site promotion
- Facilities which include working on ice
- This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
Standard office equipment that includes computers, fax and copy machines, telephones, and cash registers. Maintenance and cleaning equipment that include ice resurfacers, ice maintenance equipment, skate sharpeners, vacuums, mops and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Management experience is preferred
- Ice resurfacing experience is preferred
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid are preferred
