Closing Manager-On-Duty – Part Time

GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Under the supervision of the General Manager is responsible for supervision of the facility and its programs.   Manages staff during shifts to ensure quality customer service throughout the facility. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Must uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Supervision of facility employees
• Management of day-to-day operations that include, but are not limited to: programs, events, and physical facilities
• Ability to perform other job duties at facility when necessary
• Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately
• Maintains a clean and safe facility
• Communicates professionally verbally and in writing
• Ensures and promotes excellent customer service
• Respond professionally to any customer or facility issues
• Respond to, and follow up with immediate and complete reporting of all liability issues
• Working knowledge of facility procedures, management software system, and POS procedures
• Responsible for nightly close out and cash handling
• Maintains confidentiality
• Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.  Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard office environment, however all functions named in this section could also be performed on many different surfaces with employment in a recreational facility of which courts, fitness areas, and pools are present.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Work is performed in several environments as follows:

• An office setting.
• A recreational facility setting.
• Attending programs during the day, evenings, or weekends.
• Working indoors and outdoors.
• Possible off-site promotion.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED: 

Standard office equipment that include; computers and software packages, fax and copy machines, telephones, cash registers, and adding machines.   Maintenance and cleaning equipment that include; vacuums, mops, brooms, sprayers, disinfectors, hoses and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ JOB STANDARDS: 

-  High school graduate or equivalent

-  Management experience preferred

- Job is for closing shift manager, nights and weekend availability a must

- Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid are preferred.
