    Description

Job Title: Manager or Director of Operations

    Location: Los Angeles, CA

    Position Summary

The Director of Operations will be a pivotal leader within our dual diagnosis mental health facility, responsible for the seamless integration of administrative excellence and high-standard clinical care. This role focuses on scaling our mission by establishing robust operational frameworks, managing multi-site expansions, and ensuring that our facilities in the Los Angeles area operate with maximum efficiency to serve patients facing complex co-occurring disorders.

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, growing business at the forefront of mental health innovation. Our model leverages a hybrid approach, combining high-touch virtual services with a B2B strategy that provides specialized care solutions to established outpatient facilities. As we continue to disrupt the traditional care landscape, the Director of Operations will be central to refining and scaling this versatile platform.

    Functions

    Administrative Leadership & Infrastructure

    • Set up and manage the comprehensive administrative operations of the clinic, including financial oversight, vendor management, and human resources support.

    • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure regulatory compliance and operational consistency across all departments.

    • Manage facility budgets, optimizing resource allocation to support both clinical needs and organizational growth.

    Strategic Expansion & Growth

    • Drive expansion efforts by supporting the opening of new clinic locations, managing the end-to-end process from site selection support to operational readiness.

    • Lead project management initiatives for facility build-outs, licensing, and staffing for new geographic footprints.

    • Identify opportunities for service line enhancement and operational scaling within the Southern California market.

Operational Excellence & Patient Care Support

    • Ensure efficient daily operations by monitoring facility performance metrics and implementing data-driven improvements.

    • Maintain high standards of patient care by ensuring the environment is safe, welcoming, and fully compliant with healthcare safety regulations.

    • Audit operational workflows regularly to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance the patient experience from intake to discharge.

    Interdisciplinary Coordination

    • Coordinate closely with clinical leadership and support staff to optimize workflows, ensuring that administrative processes empower rather than hinder clinical delivery.

    • Facilitate regular interdepartmental meetings to align facility performance with therapeutic goals.

    • Manage and mentor administrative staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and trauma-informed service.

    Requirements

    Experience and Education

    • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Mental Health, or a related field.

    • Professional Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in mental health settings, with a preferred focus on dual diagnosis or residential treatment environments.

    • Management: Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in a senior operational or management capacity, ideally overseeing multiple sites or rapid-growth phases.

    • Team Development: Demonstrated expertise in hiring, training, and managing high-performing teams to support the infrastructure of a rapidly growing healthcare organization.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards specific to California mental health facilities.

    • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead complex transitions and facility openings.

    • Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L management and budget forecasting.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between administrative requirements and clinical priorities.

    • Familiarity or direct operational experience with TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and Spravato treatment protocols and clinic workflows is a plus.

Compensation: $150-$180k DOE plus bonus/profit share.
