What you will be doing: Reports to the Manager of Outreach, Shared Services. Responsible for the oversight of Outreach Specialists for "home" Job Corps Center and all outreach activities, events, partnerships and communication of the team. Responsible for managing service provided to enhance the customer experience, operational discipline and company-wide areas of scalability and efficiency, performance improvement and service enhancement and in compliance with government and management directives
Essential Functions:
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the administrative and programmatic activities of the outreach team.
- Oversee and support in the team's outreach efforts and activities to ensure recruitment of students is effective at supporting the job corps contracted capacity.
- Equip outreach team to effectively recruit eligible and interested job corps students.
- Pursue outreach efforts from a leadership level, join staff at their outreach events and work in collaboration as an outreach team to generate new and beneficial partnerships for the center's on board strength.
- Establish outreach performance metrics and benchmarks for the outreach team, to include maintaining linkage partner communication and relations, generating new linkage partnerships, documenting all communication and follow-up, projecting linkage partner meeting and events 4 weeks in advance, and hitting goals regarding leads generated and converted.
- Utilize and monitor use of the MTC Outreach App to assess outreach performance metrics and benchmarks.
- Stay current with center statistics and maintain continuous contact with the centers to coordinate efforts, discuss problems and develop resolutions.
- Coordinate with MTC Job Corps Centers, MTC leadership, and DOL personnel to ensure efficient operations including contract compliance, audits, and assessments.
- Assist in creating an environment that encourages customer service, teamwork, process ownership, innovation, accountability and internal growth.
- Provide coaching and guidance to improve staff performance and capabilities and identify training needs; develop staff in technical and soft skills.
- Assist in the selection, onboarding, training and development, performance management, retention, and succession of the Student Recruiting Outreach Team.
- Monitor and control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
- Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
- Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy.
- Maintain accountability of staff and property; adhere to safety practices.
- Work closely with other members of the management team ensuring the Shared Services Strategy is aligned with business objectives.
- Contribute to our company Culture of Caring by maintaining positive and respectful relationships with employees, customers, vendors, program recipients and our community.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor''s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field, and two years related supervisory experience; or associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field and four years related supervisory experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency also required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
