Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Outreach and Entrepreneur Recruitment Manager has the lead role in generating a strong pipeline of qualified and eligible business applicants for each of three cohorts annually to the grant-funded Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. Primary responsibilities include creating and implementing a comprehensive marketing and outreach plan to meet the recruitment goals of the program, making public presentations, hosting information sessions, participating in other events, and making direct pitches to small business owners to enroll in the program.
The Manager will identify, develop, and cultivate partnerships with relevant stakeholders, such as business Chambers and associations throughout the region, entrepreneurship training programs, CDFIs and other lending institutions, industry associations, small business and entrepreneurship organizations, commercial corridor organizations in order to ensure robust participation and full enrollment in 10KSB peer learning cohort.

Significant collaboration cross-functionally with chambers, economic development offices, and financial institutions statewide. Acts as subject matter expert managing community and partnership outreach and relationship management. Decisions have critical impact on program reputation and long-term partnership sustainability. Considerable responsibility for program/project resource allocation including event expenses and marketing materials
Manages lender breakfasts and coordinates complex partnerships with Mountain West Small Business Finance.
Creates and implements tactical outreach plans solving complex recruitment challenges across diverse markets. Provides advanced technical expertise tracking ROI and analyzing effectiveness of outreach strategies. Frequently advises on complex matters related to lead cultivation and application pipeline management. Recommends solutions that influence desired outcomes for application volume and quality. Considerable collaboration with Program Manager coordinating recruitment targets and timeline management.
Works with management to translate institutional goals into daily outreach across complex rural geography. Problems span wide range of challenging matters including geographic barriers, limited infrastructure, and trust-building. Substantial accountability for achieving 40% rural applicant target critical to grant compliance. Demonstrates creativity and innovation adapting outreach strategies for dispersed populations. Develops strategic partnerships with AOGs and regional councils requiring advanced relationship management.
Provides guidance for moderately complex project guidelines including brand compliance and messaging strategy. Develops marketing materials requiring intermediate to advanced technical expertise in design and communications. Considerable collaboration with SLCC marketing ensuring compliance with Goldman Sachs 10KSB brand guidelines. Coordinates with Alumni Manager leveraging testimonials and success stories for recruitment impact.
