Position Summary:
Responsible for the overall pharmaceutical care provided to patients, medical, and other health care personnel. In collaboration with the Medical and Administrative staffs, the Manager of Pharmacy ensures that the department meets all legal and accreditation/certification requirements. In addition, the Manager shall ensure that the department complies with all applicable hospital policies, procedures, codes, and standards.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of progressive pharmacy experience indicating increasing responsibilities as required. Responsible for making critical administrative decisions. Must exercise judgment affecting patients' care and direct pharmacy personnel. Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with medical and nursing staffs. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) with a license to practice pharmacy in the state of Pennsylvania.
Essential Functions:
Other Duties: Performs staff pharmacist duties as well as own duties. Fulfills on‐call obligations per pre‐arranged schedule. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
