\u2022 Implement, execute and maintain world class strategies for planning, scheduling, inventory and customer satisfaction. \u2022 Oversee production planning and management activities within the business unit. \u2022 Develop production plan, budget and timeliness according to production specifications. \u2022 Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications. \u2022 Communication of needs and objectives to the planning team along with training, developing, mentoring and assisting team members is essential. \u2022 Plan work flow and schedules for production departments. \u2022 Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery. \u2022 Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines. \u2022 Establishes and maintains premier customer service. \u2022 Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities. \u2022 Planning Manager manages planners to ensure they: \u2022 Analyze engineering documents and generate bills of materials (BOM) accordingly \u2022 Plan all materials on dock at kit due dates and deliver requisitions on time to purchasing \u2022 Release & order work orders for in house fabrication and assembly parts. \u2022 Maintain inventory levels to meet company goals \u2022 Approving/analyzing drawings in CCB. \u2022 Maintain engineering revision control. \u2022 Generate work order (WO) instructions in coordination with production & quality \u2022 Ensure accuracy of all pertinent data used in the company ERP system \u2022 Meeting customer requirements \u2022 Responsible for continuous improvements within the planning, scheduling and inventory functions. May also extend to suppliers and customers. \u2022 Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management. \u2022 Execute working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and all the applicable tools used for materials management. \u2022 Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements \u2022 Strong working knowledge of sales and operating planning (S&OP) processes \u2022 Adhere to established communication protocol, including the promotion of regular conference calls, WebEx and meetings to communicate and/or evaluate current performance and improvement plans. \u2022 Some travelling may also be required from time to time.\n \nJob Requirements\n \nEducation: Bachelor's degree Experience: \u2022 5 years of experience in progressive planning, scheduling and inventory management experience in aerospace, automotive or mechanical manufacturing environment with the ability to lead and influence others. \u2022 2-5 years of experience leading teams Computer Skills: \u2022 Experience working with MRP/ERP systems \u2022 Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Other Skills: \u2022 Strong written and verbal business communications abilities, must be comfortable delivering information to all levels of the organization including senior leadership. \u2022 Working knowledge of business finance skills and abilities \u2022 Understanding of S&OP, planning, scheduling and inventory management \u2022 Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate. Additional Preferred Skills: (not required) \u2022 Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business management or operations \u2022 APICS CPIM and/or ISM certifications \u2022 Experience in AS/ISO standards quality management experience. \u2022 Problem solving skills (Six Sigma Green Belt, etc\u2026)
