Overview
System One is in search of a Production Manager for a privately held company to join their team in Longview, TX. This position is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Lead and supervise production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to ensure timely delivery.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance performance and engagement.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
- Manage labor, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support new product introductions and process changes on the production floor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of systems, manufacturing processes, and production planning.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in mechanical/electrical manufacturing industries (preferred).
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP) (preferred).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus (preferred).
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, occasionally lift up to 40 lbs, and move between office and manufacturing areas.
- Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments, with exposure to seasonal temperatures, noise, dust, and industrial equipment. Flexibility in working hours may be required.
