Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Manager Programs 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within Triton program. This on-site leadership role is located in San Diego, California.

This Manager Programs 3 position will join the Triton Development Program Management Team, reporting to the Triton Development Program Director. This is a leadership position with responsibilities including managing the cost, schedule, and performance of Development contracts. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion
  • Responsible for the product quality, cost, schedule, and technical performance of contracted activities
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Effectively coordinate across multiple program IPTs to manage program execution
  • Actively manage Risk, Issues & Opportunities to ensure program execution success
  • Define, negotiate, monitor & track performance of suppliers; manage change and ensure performance to plan
  • Deliver financial results in alignment with the annual operating plan (AOP)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below
  • Related experience includes project management, program management, engineering, capture support, and/or business management functions.
  • Prior experience leading large multi-functional teams
  • An active US Government Secret Clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing engineering teams
  • An active US Government Top Secret Clearance
  • STEM degree
  • Experience successfully managing programs of $50M or greater in the aerospace industry
  • Experience with preparing proposals and negotiating contract and financial terms and conditions
  • Experience in managing classified programs

Primary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $289,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate''s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
