Job Summary
The Manager, Rates & Tariffs will lead the strategic analysis, development and implementation of natural gas rates and tariff filings. This role ensures compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and manages rate cases to align with company business strategies and revenue goals.
Key Accountabilities
Assist with strategy, planning, and execution of rate cases
Create settlement models for rate cases, evaluate and review FERC Staff Top Sheets, and evaluate settlement offers from both FERC and customers
Prepare short-form cost of service files for multiple pipelines
Perform Cost of Service/EBITDA/Rates analysis for Business Development and/or large projects
Research other pipelines' rate cases for potential adjustments, capital recovery mechanisms, and tariff changes
Review Interstate FERC Filings, FERC Form Filings, and various Accounting reports for Interstate Pipelines
Assist Legal with drafting tariff changes
Provide tariff support for Rate Cases and Certificate filings
Serve as system expert with management of tariffs within internal software
Conduct tariff research for Commercial team
May perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree
8 years of direct job-related experience in natural gas industry
Experience with FERC rate cases and tariffs
Extensive knowledge of FERC regulations and accounting requirements/processes
Preferred:
Experience drafting testimony for rate cases
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including modeling and data analysis
Certified Public Accountant
