Supervises departmental personnel and the development and maintenance of department budgets, while utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion as well as independent judgment. Oversees the development, review and revision of policies, procedures, staffing and quality assessment improvements. Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology: Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology: State Occupational Therapy (OT) license or State Physical Therapy (PT) license or State Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: America Physical Therapy Association (APTA): Facility Specific License/Certifications: ~ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Manages department operations, ensuring delivery of quality clinical services. Collaborates with medical directors to formulate operational policies. Ensures sales program and material development, as necessary to market specific service areas and target certain populations. Manages resources to achieve delivery of quality therapeutic services, diagnostic testing and positive employee relations. Proposes patient care improvement plans to medical directors and hospital administrators. Plans efficient use of personnel, space and equipment to ensure effective patient treatment.
