Job Summary
Leads respiratory care services across one or multiple sites. Manages teams, ensures high clinical standards, oversees operations, drives quality improvement, and implements evidence-based respiratory practices. Identifies advancements in respiratory equipment and develops innovative solutions to improve patient care, safety, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Manage, coach, and develop respiratory care teams
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and performance improvement
  • Support training, professional growth, and change management
Operations Management
  • Translate business plans into actionable team goals
  • Oversee workflow, staffing, resources, and budgeting
  • Improve operational efficiency, inventory, and equipment processes
  • Use performance data to drive service improvements
Clinical Oversight
  • Implement clinical standards, protocols, and evidence-based practices
  • Ensure staff training and competency across sites
  • Support patient, family, and caregiver education
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and data security
  • Identify risks, enforce safety protocols, and oversee corrective actions
Patient Care Leadership
  • Oversee patient assessments and care plan development
  • Ensure safe care delivery, infection control, and treatment effectiveness
  • Guide teams in managing complex cases and discharge planning
Quality Improvement
  • Lead initiatives to improve care quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Resolve complex patient issues and complaints
  • Drive process improvements using data and feedback
  • Support development of new services aligned with healthcare trends
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of respiratory therapy or related experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • At least 2 years of direct respiratory therapy experience
Required Certifications & Licensure
  • California Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
