Job SummaryLead
Respiratory Therapy operations,
staff, and
patient care services in a
hospital environment. Ensure high-quality, safe, compliant, and efficient respiratory care while supporting staff development and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities* Manage Respiratory Therapy teams, staffing, workflows, and daily operations.* Oversee inpatient respiratory care for adult patients and Level III NICU.* Implement clinical standards, protocols, and evidence-based practices.* Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and hospital requirements.* Monitor quality, patient outcomes, productivity, and operational performance.* Lead process improvement and resolve complex patient and service issues.* Develop, coach, and support Respiratory Therapy staff.* Manage resources, equipment, supplies, budgets, and staffing needs.* Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
Must-Have Qualifications* Minimum 3 years of inpatient Respiratory Therapy management experience in a hospital environment; supervisory-only experience does not qualify.* Experience with adult inpatient care and Level III NICU.* Recent experience working in a union hospital environment.* Minimum 7 years of Respiratory Therapy experience.* Minimum 3 years of leadership/management experience.* Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.* Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.* National Respiratory Therapy Board certification.* BLS certification required.
