General Purpose

This position is a professional position responsible for managing the daily operations of the Retail Support Services department and insuring that the workflow is consistent, deadlines are met, and quality customer service is maintained in an accurate, timely and personal manner. This position both directly supervises the staff and is responsible for developing the retail support services staff and leads through leaders by developing subordinate supervisors in effective people management. This position is also responsible to uphold the mission and values established by PB&T Bank.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the department in coordination with other department managers and leaders
  • Monitor and review daily work to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide assistance and support to employees with customer issues
  • Develop and direct employees by addressing issues timely, providing training, coaching, and cross training
  • Facilitate daily meetings. Present information and maintain open communications with employees.
  • Provide training material to retail staff as requested
  • Assist with the fraud reporting and resolution process
  • Consults and provides suggestions regarding changes or implementation of procedures to the SVP
  • Provide timely feedback to your manager regarding service and/or product failures or customer concerns
  • Review legal documents and associated items to ensure all compliance requirements are met

Supervisory Duties

  • Supervise the Retail Support Services staff and perform corrective action as needed
  • Complete annual performance evaluations on Retail Support Services staff prior to their anniversary date and encourage interaction with the employee
  • Provide the Human Resources Department with accurate and timely timekeeping information
  • Interview prospective employees to determine the best applicant based on skills, knowledge and abilities required to perform the job
  • Build and sustain a strong leadership bench by intentionally developing subordinate leaders (e.g., Assistant Manager) through coaching, feedback, and delegated leadership responsibilities; ensures readiness for increased responsibility and continuity of operations.

    Key Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge

    • Successful completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate preferred
    • College degree or equivalent work experience
    • 10 years of prior banking experience required
    • Five years of supervisory experience required
    • Basic accounting knowledge required
    • Proven leadership skills required

    Pay Range: $65-70K, depending on experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, and education

    Job Type: Full-time, Exempt, On-site. This is position is located at 301 W. 5th St., Pueblo, CO 81003
