Manager, Safety & Compliance

Constellation Search Group is looking for a Manager, Safety & Compliance for a full-time direct hire position. As the Manager, Safety & Compliance, this individual will provide professional support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) challenges at the facility. The role involves developing strategies in response to regulatory changes, evaluating facility compliance with regulations, and assessing the impact of EHS regulations and permits.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices.
• Represent the facility to regulatory agencies in routine communications and projects.
• Manage audits, permits, and facility compliance responsibilities.
• Review, interpret, and determine the impact of regulations and maintain relationships with officials.
• Compile and submit reports to the appropriate agencies as required.
• Implement and monitor a daily Health and Safety program utilizing EHS standards.
• Maintain EHS programs and permits and perform EHS audits.
• Conduct Health and Safety monitoring, data collection, and reporting.
• Investigate incidents and ensure follow-up to prevent re-occurrence.
• Assist in process hazard evaluations and completion of HAZOP and PSM tasks.
• Provide guidance on safety and compliance regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts related to EHS.
• Partner with employees and leadership to develop EHS compliance strategies.
• Evaluate safety and compliance issues and coordinate training.
• Manage RCRA, CAA, CWA, OSHA, DOT, TSCA, and related programs.
• Serve as a resource for internal and external partners.
• Work with customers to provide EHS guidance.
• Prepare and coordinate reports related to environmental and safety operations.
• Oversee employee training programs to meet requirements.
• Participate in personnel processes such as hiring and evaluations.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or safety field (required).
• ASP/CSP certification (preferred).
• 5+ years of chemical industry experience with process safety management and compliance (required), or 9+ years without degree.
• Experience with hazardous waste management (preferred).
• Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial waste management processes.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills, including technical writing and regulatory review.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
