We are seeking an established and results-oriented leader to serve as Manager, Security Operations. This role leads security operations across assigned sites, metros, functions, and customer-sensitive environments, with accountability for operational readiness, incident response, execution quality, vendor performance, technical support coordination, and customer escalation support.


The Manager will help drive consistent operational performance by translating security standards, service expectations, and business priorities into disciplined day-to-day delivery across frontline teams, technical security professionals, and site-based operating models. This role reinforces standardized ways of working, measurable accountability, and strong escalation practices while helping ensure security operations remain responsive, resilient, and aligned to customer and business needs.


Working closely with senior security leaders, operational partners, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Manager will oversee both operational and technical security teams across Data Center Security Operations & Systems teams, Security Operations functions, or a combination of both. The role plays a key part in maintaining operational continuity, technical support quality, contractual performance, and customer trust while contributing to the broader consistency and maturity of the global security program.


Responsibilities:


Strategy, Governance & Performance Management:


+ Lead execution of operating priorities, governance expectations, and measurable performance standards across assigned scope.

+ Translate business and security expectations into clear operating rhythms, reporting discipline, and site-level accountability.

+ Oversee performance, coordination, and day-to-day priorities across both operational and technical security resources within assigned scope.

+ Oversee local or regional performance metrics, staffing considerations, and operating trends to improve delivery quality and continuity.

+ Support budget tracking, resource planning, vendor spend visibility, and local operating tradeoffs in support of continuity and cost discipline.

+ Support planning, prioritization, and resource alignment for day-to-day operations, vendor activity, site-based operating models, technical support needs, and local projects.

+ Reinforce disciplined operating practices, reporting accuracy, and measurable follow-through in support of resilient delivery.

+ Implement new procedures, local process improvements, and operating initiatives that strengthen consistency and measurable performance.

+ Support change management activities tied to site transitions, support model changes, security upgrades, system enhancements, or new operating requirements.


Security Operations Delivery:


+ Lead security operations across assigned scope to ensure reliable, secure, and consistent delivery.

+ Oversee operational and technical security teams, along with site-based operating models, to maintain continuity, service quality, and day-to-day effectiveness.

+ Drive consistent daily performance through clear expectations, responsiveness, and follow-through.

+ Coordinate operational execution and technical support activities, including issue escalation, service continuity, and delivery against site and customer requirements.

+ Remove operational barriers, align resources, and coordinate across teams to strengthen day-to-day results.

+ Ensure delivery reflects standardized ways of working and supports predictable outcomes.


Incident, Crisis & Investigations Leadership:


+ Lead incident response, escalation management, and operational recovery across assigned scope.

+ Ensure incidents, outages, system disruptions, and customer-impacting events are managed with timely escalation, disciplined communication, and coordinated follow-through.

+ Oversee response quality, status visibility, and recovery efforts during security incidents and operational disruptions.

+ Support investigations, issue review, and RCA follow-through as appropriate to role scope.

+ Reinforce incident readiness, escalation discipline, and corrective action follow-through to reduce repeat issues and strengthen resilience.

+ Ensure after-hours and on-call response expectations are met across assigned scope.

+ Coordinate with emergency services, contractors, technical vendors, and external partners during significant incidents, outages, or recovery efforts as appropriate.


Vendor, Guard Force & Contract Performance:


+ Oversee vendor, guard force, and site-based service performance to ensure delivery aligns with service expectations, contract requirements, and operating needs.

+ Establish clear expectations for vendor execution, communication, responsiveness, and follow-through.

+ Monitor service quality, support issue resolution, and address performance concerns through disciplined oversight and escalation.

+ Coordinate vendor-supported work, local updates, and small projects to maintain site continuity and readiness.

+ Reinforce accountability and quality across third-party service relationships.

+ Oversee vendor-supported security and technical work, including projects, retrofits, repairs, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and local system-related activities, to ensure alignment with readiness, timelines, and delivery expectations.


Customer, Risk & Compliance Assurance:


+ Support customer trust through reliable delivery, responsive communication, and disciplined handling of customer-sensitive issues and escalations.

+ Ensure teams operate in alignment with procedures, controls, reporting expectations, and applicable compliance requirements.

+ Support audit readiness, documentation accuracy, and contract-sensitive performance across assigned scope.

+ Address operational risks, recurring issues, system-related concerns, and readiness gaps through timely coordination, escalation, and corrective follow-up.

+ Reinforce a strong control environment that supports resilience, customer confidence, and measurable performance.

+ Lead recurring risk reviews, audit support activities, and control verification efforts to identify issues and strengthen operational discipline.

+ Reinforce emergency preparedness, response procedures, and business continuity readiness across assigned teams and environments.


People Leadership & Organizational Development:


+ Lead frontline leaders, team members, and support resources to strengthen accountability, delivery quality, and day-to-day performance.

+ Set clear expectations for performance, professionalism, escalation discipline, and standardized delivery.

+ Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and development feedback, and support employee growth, accountability, and readiness.

+ Support staffing, onboarding, readiness planning, and day-to-day performance management across assigned sites or functions.

+ Build team capability across both operational and technical security disciplines while reinforcing a culture of disciplined execution, resilience, and customer-focused delivery.


Qualifications:


+ 6–8 years of experience in security operations, physical security systems, technical security support, field operations, facilities support, critical environments, or a related field.

+ 2–4 years of experience in frontline leadership, site supervision, operational coordination, vendor oversight, or similar formal or informal leadership roles.

+ Strong knowledge of security operations, physical security systems, site execution, incident response, and customer-sensitive delivery across critical environments.

+ Ability to lead security operations across assigned scope with accountability for operational readiness, execution quality, and disciplined delivery.

+ Ability to lead both operational and technical security professionals, while overseeing vendor performance, site-based operating models, and day-to-day continuity.

+ Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in support of customer trust, operational resilience, and measurable performance.

+ Working knowledge of physical security operations, access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, and related security technologies, along with vendor-supported service delivery and operational controls sufficient to oversee quality and support issue resolution.


Education / Certifications:


+ Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Electronics, Facilities, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, including military, law enforcement, or comparable operational leadership experience.

+ Relevant certifications such as CPP, PSP, PMP, emergency management, project coordination, or related operational/security certifications are a plus but not required.
