Job Description:

Our Cambridge, MA based pharmaceutical client is seeking a Manager, Site Budgets & Contracts to support clinical study startup and ensure investigator sites are ready to enroll on schedule. If you excel at negotiation, collaboration, and precision, this role is central to delivering high‑quality clinical trials for patient communities.

You will oversee site budget development, CTA negotiation, and CRO coordination, ensuring compliant, timely execution of agreements across global study sites.

What You'll Do

Site Budgets

  • Develop standard site budget templates using benchmarking tools and historical precedent.
  • Oversee CRO‑led site budget negotiations; ensure fair market value and escalate issues as needed.
  • Directly negotiate with sites when required.
  • Identify budget risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely execution of budget amendments and alignment with Ready‑to‑Enroll targets.
  • Provide rapid, clear responses to budget inquiries from CROs, sites, and internal teams.

Clinical Trial Agreements

  • Partner with CROs and Legal to generate approved CTA templates.
  • Serve as first‑line support for contract language escalations using approved fallback positions.
  • Coordinate and track CTA execution across studies; act as the single point of contact for CROs.
  • Maintain oversight of CROs to ensure compliant and timely contract execution.
  • Manage CTA timelines and provide portfolio‑level updates to stakeholders.

General

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to sites, PIs, CROs, and internal teams.
  • Prioritize effectively to meet tight clinical timelines.
  • Identify process improvements and innovative approaches to site contracting.
  • Support negotiation of other vendor agreements or investigator‑sponsored trials as needed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years in biotech/pharma, including 3+ years negotiating site budgets and CTAs across global late‑phase studies.
  • Deep understanding of site budget structure, cost drivers, and negotiation sticking points.
  • Strong knowledge of CTA terms, legal language, and FMV principles.
  • Experience with trial cost benchmarking software.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage high‑volume tasks and collaborate across CROs and internal teams.
  • Strong grounding in Clinical Operations, GCP, ICH, FDA/EMA guidelines.
