The Oxnard School District is seeking a knowledgeable and collaborative Special Education Manager. The position provides guidance in the area of special education related services to a cluster of schools. QUALIFICATIONS: This position is open to all persons from INSIDE or OUTSIDE the Oxnard School District who qualify under the requirements listed below. A. EDUCATION: An earned Master s degree from a recognized college or university. B. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of successful, full-time special education classroom teaching experience, or a minimum of five (5) years of successful full-time service as a school psychologist, or a combination of teaching and school psychologist work experience equal to five (5) years. Previous administrative experience is desireable. C. CREDENTIALS: A valid and appropriate Administrative Credential or an appropriate Supervision Credential in compliance with the provisions of Title 5, California Administrative Code, Sections 80125-80127 and California Education Code, Section 44270. D. PERSONAL QUALITIES: •Ability to meet District standards for physical and mental health; •Evidence of good moral character; •Satisfactory recommendations from training supervisors or other professionals who have observed the candidate's personal characteristics, scholastic achievement and job-related performance; and •Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.
