Position Overview:

Omnicom is seeking a strategic and experienced sports investment professional to join our team. This role reflects the continued shift of client media investments into sports and will play a key role in shaping investment strategy, negotiations, and marketplace intelligence across the sports landscape.

As the Manager, Sports Investment, your role will be that of a primary contact and source of key information across all things Sports for clients, partner agencies, vendors, and internal teams. This position will support some of the largest sports advertisers in the industry and serve as a critical partner in securing value and opportunities across sports media properties.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Manage investment strategies across a broad portfolio of Omnicom Media clients
• Develop and deliver research, competitive analyses, sports marketplace insights, and industry trend reporting
• Monitor emerging sports media trends, audience shifts, and marketplace developments to inform investment decisions
• Collaborate with internal investment and planning teams across the Omnicom network
• Update status documents for client meetings, prepare email recommendations, and buy presentations/narratives
• Write POVs for targeted opportunities to drive client business
• Serve as a backup to the Associate Director for agency, vendor and client relationships
• Collaborate with internal teams to align with and deliver against client KPIs
• Stay knowledgeable about the client's business and competitors to determine advertising and media needs
• Oversee media negotiations for various channels (TV & POLV) and collaborate with partners for promotional opportunities
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sports programming trends, marketplace conditions, changes/updates to sports broadcast rights deals
• Track and evaluate new emerging opportunities that can bring value to clients

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience buying network, cable and syndication within sports, video, or premium content
• Experience in negotiating upfront, scatter and opportunistic buys
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Desktop software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficient with MBox or equivalent Inventory Management system
• Strength in relationship development and management as it pertains to clients, partners, and coworkers

Desired Skills and Experience

• Understanding of Sports/Media business models preferred
• Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data and insights to help drive and inform meaningful insights
• Demonstrated ability to think and execute "out of the box" ideas.
• Existing relationships with the Networks.
• 4+ years of senior buying/supervising or related industry experience.
• Ability to work successfully within a team, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.

$80,000 - $90,000

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
