Our team in Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for aManager, Subcontract Managementto join them.You will be responsible for the acquisition of major sub-assemblies and components, which are required to support Moog's many programs and customer requirements.Work encompasses development of sources of supply, solicitation and analysis of proposals, Earned Value Management (EVM) of large development contracts, fact-finding and negotiation of requirements, price, terms and conditions, as well as preparation, administration and management of Moog Inc. Subcontract Purchase Orders. You will report to the GVP, Quality & Operational Excellence. Our preferred candidate will be local to our Western New York locations and have an onsite or hybrid work schedule. However, we're open to candidates who reside near other US Moog locations as well. As aManager, Subcontract Management, you will: * Develop and qualify domestic and international sources for major subassemblies and components, ensuring suppliers can effectively support both development programs and high-rate production requirements * Prepare Request for Proposals (RFP) to include Moog quantity, technical, program, quality assurance and contractual flow-downs of customer specific requirements, terms and conditions * Evaluate supplier proposals for compliance with all requirements; lead negotiations to achieve fair and reasonable outcomes while mitigating cost, schedule, and performance risk. * Utilize continuous improvement methodology, ability to identify risk and implement risk mitigation strategies * Manage subcontracts from cradle to grave including changes and contract closeout * Manage subcontractor cost, schedule, and technical performance to meet Moog and customer objectives for delivery, quality, and price reasonableness. * Participate in program review meetings with Moog and Moog's customers, as well aslead Supplier Business Reviews and facilitate supplier internal and external visits, as required * Support Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) & Public Law compliance by adhering to company policies and procedures * Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders * Provide subcontracting training, process and compliance guidance to globally dispersed supply chain team * Support small business initiatives To be considered for the role, here's what you'll need to bring with you: * Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight (8) years related experience and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience in Supply Chain Management, Subcontracts, Procurement, Contracts, Program/Project Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline * Proven experience in Government Contracting (i.e., FAR, DFARS, ITAR) and a comprehensive understanding of acquisition principles, theories, concepts related to government rules and regulations supporting
