Summary: Manages the supply chain and logistics group functions such as purchasing raw materials, delivering those materials to various points, and delivering the final product to the right destinations on time and within budget.  This role involves negotiating supplier contracts, managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers and carriers, analyzing performance data, and supervising Purchasing, Logistics and Warehouse staff to optimize processes and reduce costs while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and implement supply chain strategies, analyzing data for efficiency improvements, managing vendors, ensuring compliance with regulations, and resolving logistical issues.
  • Oversee transportation operations, such as shipping, freight, and direct-to-port services in conjunction with WH Supervisor and Logistics team.
  • Maintain data integrity for assigned product line(s) by regular review of MRP data and system information and takes appropriate corrective action as required.
  • Manage the flow of goods from raw material acquisition to final delivery, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain and implement any subsequent changes to processes.
  • Develop and implement standards and protocols for the company’s purchasing processes.
  • Manage customer and supplier requests for information, including but not limited to material compliance.  Directly maintain and assist with CAPA, NC and complaints.
  • Performs assessments, documentation, and organization tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the department/s, and in accordance with overall company and department/s objectives, as well as state and federal regulations.
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or related field.
  • 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.  Strong supervisory and leadership abilities to guide teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical, negotiating, and critical thinking skills.  Able to collect, interpret, organize, and communicate data.
  • Strong knowledge and/ or understanding of medical device manufacturing quality management systems (ISO 13485); Accounting and legal documents; Negotiating with suppliers and vendors; and Supply chain software, logistics technology, and financial planning principles.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office QMS and ERP/PLM systems.
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Applicable professional certifications such as ASCM CLTD/CPIM/CSCP, CPM or CPSM.
  • Previous experience within regulated manufacturing environments ISO, FDA, and/or cGMP, controlled environments with established QMS.
 
Physical Qualifications: 
  • Position requires data entry and regular use of computer/keyboard/mouse.
  • Works in both manufacturing and office environments. 
  • Periodically overtime will be required, including weekends. 
  • Some travel, including between PPC owned properties, is required.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
