A Brief Overview

The Supply Chain Manager directs the overall supply chain including, purchasing, production planning and inventory. Develops and implements strategies to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements.

What you will do

• Oversee supply chain including, purchasing, production planning and inventory.
• Oversee the management of the customer service team, ensuring efficient handling of customer inquiries, orders, and issues. Lead efforts in maintaining strong customer relationships, focusing on delivering exceptional service levels. Monitor and drive key customer service metrics, including On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance, to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Plan and control all budgeted expenses within the materials department, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Manage the annual budgeting process and monitor performance on a monthly basis to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee inventory management activities including cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Resolve quality and service issues with vendors.
• Develops management reports for tracking performance against plan and issues on periodic basis.
• Establishes effective communications with other functional areas throughout the corporation to ensure success of corporate strategic plan.
• Monitors both vendor performance to ensure highest quality and service levels on both incoming materials
• Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, winning through customers, respect for each other, and process.
• Analysis training needs and develops training programs and agenda for career development of all personnel.
• Leads the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the site to ensure alignment between supply chain operations and overall business goals.
• Some duties may vary slight by location.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or similar field (Preferred)

Experience Qualifications

• 4-6 years Of planning, purchasing, inventory, warehousing experience in a strategic or leadership role, and 3rd party manufacturing (Preferred)

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledgeable in Material Resource Planning (MRP). (High proficiency)
• Communication and presentation skills. (High proficiency)
• Recognize obstacles and implement solutions to drive positive results. (High proficiency)
• Understanding of financial principles, budget planning, cost control, and variance analysis. (High proficiency)
• Leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. (High proficiency)
• Critical thinking and data analysis skills to interpret supply chain metrics, financial data, and performance reports. (High proficiency)
• Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with keen attention to detail. (High proficiency)
• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office especially in Excel. (Medium proficiency)
• Keen supplier relationship management skills - domestic and global suppliers. (Medium proficiency)
